Eligibility

Applicant must meet the following requirements for eligibility:
  • Current student member of MTANC, or member of a student organization with membership to MTANC, and
  • Applying for or in the process of completing clinical internship.

Selection Process

Recipient will be determined by a blind review scholarship committee consisting of North Carolina music therapists. The President-Elect will oversee the scholarship process in it's entirety, and is the only person with direct knowledge of any identifying information about the applicants.  The President-Elect will have no input in the scoring process whatsoever, eliminating any possible bias in the scoring of the applicants.  Once the scholarship committee has submitted their scores, the President-Elect will announce the names of the recipient.

DISTRIBUTE Evaluation FORMS

Three total evaluation forms are required. One each from
  • An MT-BC that has supervised the applicant,
  • ​A professor who has worked directly with the applicant (not required to be music therapy faculty), AND
  • A professional who knows the applicant.

OTHER CONSIDERATIONS

  • Resumes submitted WILL NOT be reviewed.
  • Only applications submitted by the deadline, which include the application form and three evaluation forms, will be considered.
