Learner Objectives:
- Participant will identify the prevalence of individuals with an autism diagnosis that are also at risk of a motor disability.
- Participant will identify why standardized assessments can be misleading within the treatment planning process.
- Participant will identify and be able to demonstrate two treatment strategies that can support a client who is struggling with the neuromotor differences common in nonspeaking autism.
- Participant will be able to explain the purpose of thigmotaxis for individuals with sensory and neuromotor differences.
