Facility
New Hanover Regional Medical center serves an 8 county area. We are a level 2 Trauma center and we have 769 licensed beds throughout our facilities. The NHRMC campus consists of the Main hospital, The Betty H. Cameron Women’s and Children’s hospital, The Zimmer Cancer center, The Rehabilitation hospital, The Behavioral Health hospital and the new Orthopedic hospital which is under construction.
Training
The internship will cover several departments in New Hanover Regional Medical center including: Pediatrics Pediatric Intensive Care Inpatient adult Intensive care Inpatient adult behavioral health Outpatient adult oncology Occasional Neonatal Intensive Care The internship is Monday – Friday 8:30 -5:00 and there is one Music Therapy intern at a time. The internship offers opportunities to shadow other professionals and to learn about the Integrative therapy program: The Healing Arts Network.
